Kristan began his career as a financial adviser in 1997 after graduating the University of Leeds. First gaining experience within a small, intimate practice in Cheadle, Kristan began his career in earnest providing advice to private clients and business owners within one of the North West’s most respected tax and accountancy practices.
After five years, Kristan used the skills and experience he had gained to set up a financial advice function within another of Preston’s most respected accountancy practice. There, he looked after the financial planning needs of a growing number of the firm’s clients, as well as a number of its partners. He has always worked closely with private clients, business owners and trustees, and through his time within tax practices, has developed a particularly strong talent for tax planning in all its guises.
The vast majority of Kristan’s clients have been with him for a number of years. He has a passion for looking after their financial planning needs through whatever twists and turns their lives take, and to help them build, protect, enjoy and ultimately pass on the wealth they have worked hard to save. He particularly enjoys employing his tax-planning experience to help clients minimise their tax burden, always with the emphasis on simplicity and safety.
Kristan joined True Bearing from one of the UK’s largest advisory firms citing a desire to return to a company which encourages advisers to adopt a more personal and local approach with clients.
Outside of work, Kristan enjoys spending time with his young family, and when time allows, blowing away the cobwebs with triathlons and mountain bike racing.
